After first touching clay on a wheel in 1995, I couldn't stop.
Before all else, I think function first, and I am inspired by all things useful. From there the creativity begins, and the colors, textures, and movements in The Sea Ranch and coast area are my stimulation.
My functional pottery work is done mostly in porcelain, and I experiment with different clays for various hand-building endeavors, including whimsical garden art.
Although I love to make things and sell them, it's the doing that gives me joy.
